Come and wander around our garden in the Scottish Borders, Auchencrow, picking leaves and flowers to print on a scarf and/or a piece of zero-waste textile, with natural dyes.
June 2026 -Introduction to Eco/Botanical Textile Printing
Learning about the Leaves, Flowers, Layout and design. A maximum of 4 people per workshop, which provides a supportive learning environment. At all workshops you receive take home notes of the processes and learnings from the day.
The workshop starts at 9.30am and finishes at 4.30pm. Tea's and coffee provided, please bring your own lunch. Lunchtime would be approximately around 1pm for an hour. Which you can spend in the garden relaxing and or chatting about the various process learned.
The textiles printed range from silk, wool . cotton/linen. This is dependant on what I have in stock and have pre mordanted. This is arranged before your arrival.
The colour available for printing is also discussed prior to your arrival, as it takes over a day to prepare. There will be an option of 3 colours, natural dyes.
The how to care for the textile will be discussed on the day.
If you wish to make a lamp, this will also be discussed before hand. The lamp kit and full tutorial costs an extra £40 for a 2-3hour tutorial
